Taking This Down

"Life is hard sometimes, and it gets harder when you are afraid of imaginary things. Paralysis sets in, and atrophy follows—stagnation—creativity decay. Sometimes we just need to like ourselves the way we are when we're doing the best we can. I'm reaching a point where I want to stop fighting censorship and start letting my mistakes do the best work for me. Sometimes I just like the flukes better anyway. It's time to fall head over heels in love with The Unknown."

-quote from one of the Kït's favourite artists, found in a very current.... Curr.

Melissa Auf der Maur

The Kït went to an unREAL gig last night, Melissa Auf der Maur, and is today more of a woman than she was the day before. It was straight down amazing to see this tiny lady with such charisma and incredible pipes just rock on with her bass like that.. Anyone who's got the chance to see her and her band live MUST go.

THaNKS MaDM!!

What Type Are You?

What type are you? Take this pleasant test yourself and get your analysis down on what type you are. It requires that you have the sound on! Me myself and I are apparently Dot Matrix as seen above.

Speaking of rocks.

(Got it? Speaking of rocks?)

Rock.

By researching more about Sanna Annukka I learn I have been living under a rock. The one tilted to the right in the middle behind there. Just where a smaller one leans onto, that's where I've been.

(More!) Sanna Annukka

OH MY FREAKY GOD. I don't even know what to type here. This, I'm gonna say to myself that Sanna has simply made this for me. I'll just take it that way today. Thank you, your stuff is ridiculously cool!
Flip me, just check it out for yourself and you'll see why it's impossible to write anything about it! Gah!

*Rubbing hands while getting inspired*

1973

Fucken wicked shit from 1973 by Sanna Annukka!! Nineteenseventrythree is a webiste definitly worth checking out (as well as all the rest of our posts of course!) as they have some unreal designs.. All sorts of designers design cards and whatnot, and you can purchase it from here. (Dear Santa - see above!!)
The interesting and fascinating thing about postcards is that there are simply no rules to how the design is meant to be, behave or look like. If you have artwork that doesn't fit it anywhere - it will GUARANTEED look swell on a postcard. Try it yourself davel!

FRIDAY!

funny pictures of cats with captions
see more Lolcats and funny pictures

Patricia Urquiola have done it again!

Pardon the quality of the pic as I have rightfully stolen it from the producers own website. Does these rugs just make you wanna undress and roll over them or what?? Flat out with a cup of hot chocolate, blank pieces of paper and a bunch of thick colorful crayons.. And perhaps a black cat purring peacefully next to you, covering half of the paper you're using.. Some Joni Mitchell in the background is never bad either.. And a bowl full of warm cinnamon buns.
Yes, I'd like me some o'dem rugs.

Sylvia Ji

Yes. Yes.
I admit.
I've been obsessive about folklore, feathers, the earthly paths of this reality lately.. Going through a great spiritual new journey also reflects in what the eye is drawn to.. There's something very true and grounding about these over/under/wordly images that really seeps into the soul from the eyes..
It's good.

This amazing work is by American Sylvia Ji, you're hereby advised to go by her site for more goodies...

Tara Dougans

Tara Dougans is rubbing me the right way!
Can't get enough of this 25 year old maple leaf gal, she's got some wicked stuff.. Check out her stuff here, but be prepared to never feel the same about pencil drawings ever again.....
Ga!
