Abbey McCulloch

Dirty Shame, by Abbey McCulloch.
Painter of simply gorgeous images, love this one in particular. Lots more fabulous images to indulge in if you follow the white rabbit.

Skunk Anansie

On that note, Billy. How's this for drawing trees, singing out loud and drinking mulled wine.
It was from you to me, and here it is from me to you.

WowOowojejeJee!

Yes I DO believe in santigold!
just listened to 'L.E.S Artistes from the album santogold and I think I L.O.V.E it.

This is somewhat a collection of different artists with the seemingly only thing
constant being the frontwoman Santi White.
I am not exactly sure if this is entirely correct as I am finding different stories
on every webcorner, so I think you, if likin her/them, track down her/them yourself and simply
just believe in the story you like the most.

The music is still cool no matter what story you go for!

Lykkelige Lykke Li

Lykke Li makes me dream and always make me want to drink red wine,
dance around and draw trees with Kit.

She has just finished her tour with her first album Youth Novels, so
until she's is moving again, dance to her tunes on myspace, or even better spotify.
She do has one new song though;  'possibility'  you can find
it on the soundtrack of the second (?) twilight movie
wich  is soon to be released.

eyecandy

This one is called facehunter and is made by
the quirky/bubbly illustrator Leesa Leva, you
can spot more of her work on leesaleva.com

There is a bunch of great illustrators out there and it is hard to name a few,
but  personally I never seem to get sick of the beautiful illustrations made by
Cecilia Carlstedt, Stina Persson and Cassandra Rhodin.
You can find them all and many other on the Swedish Agent Bauer's site.

Another tip to discover great art is to go to the
US Agent site Art Department . Here you can browse through a great selection of talented
illustrators aswell,  I suggest you make yourself comfortable and start exploring all the creativeness!

Cassandra Rhodin - visit agent bauer for more treats from this girl.

Gustav Klimts sexual beauty

'Judith mit dem Haupt Holofernes'
Gustav Klimt 1862-1918

Up north summer has already turned into autumn, soon to be winter,
and I stumbled over this painting by Gustav Klimt the other day and I thought
it looks like a perfect 'cold autumn' painting.

How does the hot autumn soon to be summer look like in a painting Kit?

Cecilia Claesson

..Is a jewelry designer from Sweden who creates beatiful rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings using Swedish and Nordic porcelain produced mainly between the 40`s and the 60`s, and
it all began when her little son came home one day and told his mum he had something nice for her, it was a small piece of colourful porcelain, Cecilia saw the beauty in it, and as they say, the rest is history.

Check out Cecilias homepage kila.nu and click on produkter to see all her nostalgic, vintage transformed porcelain jewelry.<3

Jon Burgeman

The straight down coolest wallpaper there is. Your very own "color in". By Jon Burgeman, through "1973". Check out the link for further sweets. Want it! Want it! Want it!

Kari Byron

Kari Byron, as most people know from Mythbusters (Discovery Channel), is originally a crazy and rather obscure artist, as shown below - doing some wicked dolls and sculptures. Lots more goodies on her own homepage. Love it.

Antonio Santin

Interesting sculptor and painter from Spain, who now works and lives in Berlin.

Sia

Sia! A mutual favorite artist of The Kït and The Billy! An amazing voice, click on the headline and it will get you to her myspace page. Enjoy, and you can thank us later.

Les Chansons D'Amour

In an honest attempt I'm hereby trying to express my fascination and love for this fantastic movie Les Chansons D'Amour (The Love Songs) it's difficult when one have to see the movie to understand. So I'm offering a few pictures from the movie instead, and recommend for each and one of you all out there to find this movie and let it love you. A quirky little ensemble of actors, and the ever so brilliant Louis Garrel (whom you will enjoy in several other movies). Just a pleasure and such a different movie. Gorgeous!

Steffen Dam

Steffen Dam. Incredible glass artist. Simply beautiful!

♥ Coraline ♥

Coraline. A beyond fantastically created movie that captures you from the first scene - and if you allow yourself to fall and join Coraline's adventure and mind, you are guaranteed an experience like no other. (For the record, the 3D version was spellbinding, but even without it you are granted a great time.)

Grete Prytz Kittelsen (1917-)

A Fabulous Woman from Norway - well known world wide.
A pioneer and extremely creative and exploring within her field. She has made som fantastic pieces throughout the years, and as shown under, a personal favorite with the striped enamel bowls - and also her famous lotus flower bowls. Highly respected, alongside other modernistic artist/designers/architects such as Ray & Charles Eames, Walter Gropius, Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies Van Der Rohe. Can't not love this, hmm?

Momo

Momo Eller Kampen Om Tiden. My favourite childhood book. About time, and fighting against waisting it, all in metaphores, it will mesmerize you and you will fall in love with Momo. Find it translated into your language an indulge yourself. You will not regret it. Regret it and I will personally bake you a cake and send it to you. But I guarantee you, you will not, ever regret it.

Beautiful.
(To whoever I stole this photo from, thank you and sorry. But thank you.)

Miranda July

Miranda July. Another absolutely fantastic artist.
A Performance Artist with incredible passion and need to express.

From her amazing movie Me and You and Everyone We Know.

The sweetest book, I think everyone should read. No One Belongs Here More Than You.

Maria & Julian Martinez

Some amazing pieces of art I just can't get out of my mind.

Native American Maria Martinez and housband Julian, toghether creating stunning pieces of pottery, made of dried clay and volcanic ashes from the grounds of their reservations.
Shaped by Maria, and painted by Julian.
