This is really not the type of art I am immediately drawn towards, but after watching a documentary about Belgian Sam Dillemans I must admit it opened my eyes - and slightly tilted my head. The way he expressed himself, seeing the passion in his eyes as he gesticulates vividly and walks around the room as a boxer in the ring before a fight as he talks about his work; very much mesmerizing and convincing. It is most recommended to have a look at his site for more paintings as well as read about his history.

16sparrows
'together we make a pretty bad ass robot'
at 16sparrows.com
Site which sells a little bit different and fun stationary,
You can even print out some small treats for free!
me like.
Bjørn Jørund Blikstad
and a part of his master project at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Norway; a modular shelving unit.
I find it very facinating the way he has been able to build a 3D storage unit that, when looking at it it seems like a 2D image.
He greatest inspiration behind this peculiar design was Ernö Rubik the man behind the coloured cube puzzle, which personally I find extremely annoying.(Escpecially when looking at 7year old kids solving it within seconds..)But anyway.!- Bjørn made it in the 2010 graduate directory in Wallpaper magazine this winter, you can find him here , along side many other great up-and coming designers from all over tha world! I already found my favourites:)
Hurray for fun design!

Björk
Icelandic multi artist, Björk (44) is a woman who's music I have never properly got. Although, she must be one of the ladies who fascinates me the much - she's just such a delight to watch, how she preforms, how she choose to express herself visually. She's just brilliant, and keeps you looking long after you should have stopped.

♥ Eve ♥
Sigh! One day you shall be mine!!!
Claesson Koivisto Rune (Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune) are the designers behind this stunning bangle. I first saw it a couple of years ago but couldn't remember who was behind it - then by fate it suddenly re-appeared to me yesterday in a random magazine. Absolutely love it.
Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini
I was browsing through a bookshop when a book by Jane Yolen almost glowed in the shelves. I picked it up and found these stunning illustrations by Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini! The book I found was The Seeing Stick but Daniela has done several other works as I soon discovered when I came home to research her. For more gorgeous paintings and illustrations simply find some of her works here or here, and you can learn more about her here..
Thank you Daniela for making my morning just a little better.

Charles and Marie
Now, do you have the same problem that I do? That my chair's legs go cold in winter? Now the solution has arrived! You'll no longer hear the moaning from your freezing chairs, just put these socks on and they're happy singing again.
Pretty weird stuff, but I kinda like them.
Ladies annnd Gentlemen!
Out for a coffee in a secret alley the other day I read through an old edition of Oyster Magazine, and it was a very touching story about a retired circus artiste, and how circus at one time was the show on everyone's lips and how highly respected they once were. Photographer Rafal described his encounter beautifully:
"When you meet something that should be funny, colorful or amusing but is completely the opposite, it wakes up your imagination".
- Photographer Rafal Milach, when meeting with retired Soviet circus artiste Jozef Maksymiuk (59).

Lola & Bailey
COFA graduates Theresa Nguyen and Cheri Flewell-Smith are the master brains of this simply magnificent necklace. They don't have many products up on their site, but definitly worth a look around! Stunning and right up our alley.
Hats off.
